New single on the way…
Hey everyone,
Been playing around today with some stuff. Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of 80’s music. Except the artists aren’t actually from the 80’s. I guess you would call them 80’s revivalists or something along those lines. Anyways, I’ve been listening to a lot of new stuff in this area and it’s inspired me to do something with a slight 80’s vibe. Although listening to the work in progress right now, it does still retain some of the same feel found perhaps in some of my earlier stuff. The song right now sounds pretty dark, but the synths that make up all the layers feel pretty warm. Weird combo eh?
The new single will hopefully be coming out sometime next week depending on how diligent I am.
Thinking of calling it… Night at the Arcade

New Single
Hey folks,
Thought I would share an interesting bit of information. I had one of those power sessions in my music making today and made a song. Completely out of the blue. Then again… perhaps that ambient piece I did recently inspired me to get back into it. Anyways… I made a song today and the damn thing practically wrote itself.
It’s pretty short compared to what I’ve done in the past, only 3:30 mins. I might have a go at extending it tomorrow. I feel like I can add a little more to it and clean it up here and there. I’ll try my luck at mastering the same day. We’ll see…

Part of me thinks this song was heavily inspired from watching my friend play the new Mass Effect and the other part of me is thinking that it’s my brain’s way of reminding me that my sci-fi novel isn’t done. More on that later…

Just around the corner…
Well, it’s that time of the year again. School is finishing up and I’m left wondering what exactly I’ll get up to this summer. Number one on that list is finding some work. I need to make some monayyyy this summer, it’s a must.
A second EP is looking more and more plausible in the not too distant future as well. I mean why not? If I’m gonna be bored this summer, I might as well do something productive instead of just sitting around all day watching TV. I actually just came up with a little something something for you Air Naked fans. Granted, it is for a digital arts assignment, but I figured you would like it nonetheless. Well… I’m hoping you do. It’s in a somewhat different direction from what I usually make. Ambient is what comes to mind right now. There’s no beat so it’s just this flowing stream of synths. It’s probably my first real go at this particular genre and I would say I’m happy with what I’ve started with. If everything works out, I’ll try and master it tomorrow and upload it to Soundcloud.
